Discovering Ilocandia Day 3: Amazing Ilocos Norte

Wake up sunshine! It would be Day 3 and the start of our formal tour with the rest of the gang. Since we were on our packaged tour, our housemates from Manila joined us in the tour starting with our first stop, the Currimao Rock Formations.

We then passed by Herencia CafƩ, a restaurant famous for the pinakbet (mixed vegetables) pizza. We then went to the Marcos Museum where the remains of the late President Marcos is open for public viewing. It was quite an experience with the Gregorian chant background and the smell of fresh flowers bothering your nostrils. We were also reminded not to take photos and make unnecessary noises.

We ate our lunch at La Preciosa where we feasted on the original Bagnet (local version of lechon kawali) and Bagbet (a fusion of Bagnet and Pinakbet). They also have drool-worthy cakes and pastries.

We proceeded to the famous Pasuquin Bakery where we bought the soft Biscocho. After munching some along the way, we arrived at Cape Bojeador, one of the oldest lighthouses in the country. Based on the inscription, the lighthouse was built in 1887.
