The Choices We Make

Life is but choices of yes or no, of do or do not or of quit or continue. It is a constant decision-making process which started since we gained consciousness and sense of free will. It is the essence of living. And in order to live, we have to make a choice.
Each choice we make corresponds to a certain consequence, as the law of the universe goes. These consequences may sometimes be on our favor and sometimes may not. These may make us or simply break us. But no matter what, these consequences leave us learning lessons that made the ride worthwhile.


There were two kinds of choices, the right choice and the right choice for now. Right choices are often decisions made with lasting success. In this case, all possible consequences were carefully considered and thought of. And these choices often take time to come up with. On the other hand, right choices right now are decisions tailored to favor the demand of the present situation. These are often done in haste to decide for the sake of deciding. It is like a patch on a wound to keep from bleeding without thinking that it wasn't sanitary enough. But nevertheless, it's still a patch and we needed to do it in order to survive.

Everyday, we are confronted by these choices and we are not perfect to always choose the right ones. We need to make mistakes, lots and lots, in order to learn. So it is okay to sometimes break away and be adventurous. Don't be afraid to choose right now choices. You'll never know, those will lead you to the right choice.


-Excerpt from my mind as I browse through our wedding checklist. What I am trying to say is am I gonna splurge and be poor or not splurge and regret it for the rest of my life. Though the latter would mean no more headaches on expenses. Dilemma!
